Sadly, due to sickness, the kids didn’t get to play in many of the winter snows that came through. I was a little disappointed, but I had a feeling that they would likely get a chance to play in some of the spring snow snows!
Colorado spring times are filled with plenty of snow and plenty of warm days with sunshine. The contrasting weather is strange and confusing at times. However, Eli’s love of snow makes the snowy spring days much more exciting! Only a few months ago, Abi would throw a temper tantrum of all temper tantrums the moment we put her in her snowsuit. To my surprise, this time Abi didn’t fuss a bit when I dressed her in her snowsuit and actually loved playing in the snow! The only tantrum she threw was when it was time to go back inside!
Eli still loves eating snow and tromped around in foot deep drifts like a pro. He enjoyed going down the slides and playing hide and seek in the back yard. He also loves shoveling the walk with his snow shovel! I think he looks like a little skier in his snowsuit from Grandpa and Grandma Davis!
Abi loved going down the slides and taking rides on the sled. She really wanted to sit up while riding on the sled, but her balance isn’t good enough and she ended up face down in the snow a couple times. Amazingly, it didn’t bother her much! She did much better riding on her belly! She was very curious and interested in the snow. It took her a while to figure out she could still move around on her own in the snow, but before long, she even got brave enough to crawl around in the snow on her own!
Enjoy the pictures!
