The temperature hit 90 degrees earlier this week, so Matt pulled the pool out for the kids to have some fun in the water. We all enjoyed lots of time outside. Its been so nice to be together as a family!

Have I mentioned lately that Eli LOVES swimming? This kid had a huge smile on his face most of the day!

Abi splashed in the water for a few minutes before going off to explore the backyard. She quickly found a bowl of snacks and plopped down to enjoy!

Micah enjoyed soaking up the rays during one of his many naps. This was also therapy for helping keep his bilirubin under control!

We also enjoyed a picnic lunch outside.

Abi was amused by the fact that Micah was “wearing” a hat, too.

She then showed Micah her trick of taking her hat off. Of course, she helped Micah take his hat off, too. What a helper…ha!

Colorado spring-times are one of a kind! One might think it snows all of the time, but low and behold, there is just as many (likely more) sunny days to go along with the snowy ones! On this particular sunny spring day, Abi, Eli and I were outside enjoying the pretty weather. When Abi started getting fussy, I swaddled her and placed her in the grass and she actually slept!! I did shield her face…but to my dismay, she  got a little pink!

I thought Eli enjoyed being outside last year, but I would say multiply his like of the outdoors times ten for this year! He’s been exploring all around our house. Thanks to a fenced in backyard, he is able to explore outside on his own! In the backyard, Eli likes to play in the dirt with his shovel and bucket, kick a ball around, and go down the slide. In the front yard, he loves to ride his tricycle, drive his car, and run the mailbox and back. In reality, he really doesn’t need any toys to entertain him outdoors!

What 2-year old boy doesn’t love shovels and dirt?

I got to see it for myself: Kimi had told me a story about Eli when they returned from his speech therapy assessment. Eli would run up the street to the mailbox, then run back to our house. I got to see him do it a couple of times. Apparently Eli did it about 10 times after his speech therapy. So in the first picture the little black dot is Eli just leaving the mailbox.
