Peanut Butter Pretzels

tags (edit):  Christmas Chill or Freeze Candy @Web Cookies

These delicious candies have a filling like a Reeses peanut butter cup. They are a great combination of salty, sweet, crunchy, and squishy, and they are a Christmas standby. Always make 2 batches, or maybe even 3!

Ingredients

1 cup Peanut butter
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Graham cracker crumbs (about 8 squares)
1/2 cup Club cracker crumbs (8 squares, 16 small rectangles)
2 cups Powdered sugar
8 dozen Pretzel twists (about 4 cups or 5 oz.)
1 pound Dipping chocolate

Instructions
In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, graham cracker crumbs, club cracker crumbs and powedered sugar. Mix on low to medium speed until well combined. Mixture will be very thick.

Roll mixture into small balls about the diamter of a dime and place one on each pretzel. Press down gently so it sinks into the pretzel and place on a waxed paper covered cookie sheet. Repeat until all peanut butter mixture is used. Refrigerate at least one hour to firm up.

Melt chocolate carefully in microwave or double boiler until smooth. Remove from heat. Swirl the topes of each of the candies in the melted chocolate, shaking gently to remove excess, and return to the cookie sheet with pretzel-side down. Refrigerate again to set chocolate.
