Cranberry Sandies

These colorful cookies have a refreshing cranberry lemon flavor. Than likes them and they are a good contrast on a holiday cookie tray.

Ingredients

1 cup Butter
1/2 cup Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Flour
1 cup Dried cranberries finely chopped in food processor
2 teaspoons Lemon peel


 

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets. Beat butter on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add powdered sugar, bean until combines. Beat in vanilla. Beat in as much flor as you can. Stir in cranberries, lemon peel, and any remaining flower (work in flour with hand if mixture is crumbly).

2. Shape dough into 1/2 inch or 1 inch balls. Roll in red or green decorating suagr. Arrange 1 inch apart on prepared cookies sheets.

3. Bake 10-14 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.

Store at room temperature up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
