Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

Delicious combination of ginger and butterscotch--unusual and delightful. My good friend introduced these to me at a cookie exchange.

Ingredients

3 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
1 Egg
1/3 cup Molasses
1 11 oz. pkg. Butterscotch chips


 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves & salt in a small bowl.
Beat butter, sugar, egg & molasses in a large bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in molasses. Drop by round Tbsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9-11 minutes at 350 degrees or until cookies are lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes, remove to wire racks to cool completely.
